Welcome to the second annual MainStreet Roswell Fiddle & Griddle Festival. This year the event is scheduled for June 7-8, 2013 in beautiful Roswell, New Mexico.
MainStreet Roswell, Roswell Parks and Recreation Dept., and Roswell Lodger’s Tax are pleased to present the 2nd Annual MainStreet Roswell Fiddle and Griddle Festival June 7-8, 2013. What a wonderful way to start the summer! The Country’s best fiddle players will entertain attendees with some fantastic music while competing for $20,000 in available prize money during the competition on June 8 at 400 N. Main St. in beautiful Roswell, New Mexico. The festival will feature local talent as well as musicians from far and wide. 2012 competitors came from Pennsylvania, Washington, and Arkansas – as well as Texas and New Mexico. Multiple stages will be set up in the Festival Area for great toe-tapping music.
Jacie Sites is returning to Roswell! This year Jacie and her husband, Joe, are lending their expertise to our second annual MainStreet Roswell Fiddle & Griddle Festival as judges. They will be judging our Fiddler’s Competition and may even be sharing their musical talents with us during the week-end.
Also featured is our 2nd Annual BBQ Contest with $8,000 available in prize money. The BBQ Contest will begin early Saturday morning. The aroma of smoked meats and savory BBQ sauce will once again permeate the air. The teams of chefs will be more than willing to share their secrets and techniques and are sure to have great hints for your summer backyard BBQ’ing. We will be posting the BBQ judges information shortly.
